In the next few days i will be upgrading and testing some back-end components for the aurora webcam stream. Please feel free to give me some forum input if you see a major change.
Im also looking into changing the layout of the site. I hope to make this as painless as possible. I will give notice later before it starts.

There is a very good chance of aurora activity the next few nights due to a massive Solar Mass Ejection. Though we will only have a few hours of darkness i have turned on the aurora webcam in hopes that we will see some good auroras tonight. Sadly we have a wildfire ( see smoke in daytime webcam) that is blowing smoke up from the South. Any members that see auroras tonight please E-mail me a report of what you saw. Happy Aurora Watching! -Troy |

It has been a long and busy summer up here in Alaska. As you see from the date on my last post I haven't had much time to post news on the website. The daytime webcam is still going strong. The aurora webcam is currently offline due to the long daylight hours in the summer. Starting in the middle of August I plan on having the aurora webcam back online 24/7 for the winter. Please E-mail me if you have questions or problems.
Have a great summer. -Troy |
